Step:
  1. Defrost the scallop and pat dry;
  2. Slice the ginger and set aside;
  3. Mix sugar, cooking wine, water, mirin and soy sauce together and boil it with medium heat; add scallop and ginger, cover the lid; lower the heat and keep simmering until sauce becomes thick, then it is ready to serve.
